Final Points Race 2014. Champs close out strong and first time winner

2014 has been a one to remember. We wrapped up the points season with a day of unbelievable short track action. Novice/ Limited Sportsman. The day started as nearly all the races this year with The 2014 Champion Brad Boling in his #78 and the # 11 of Gregg Grahn battling it out all day. Boling would grab Quick Time (QT) and grab another 5 bonus points. In the heat racing the two top guns got a win. The feature however would be another story. The sportsmanship we witnessed in this one makes me proud be a fan. Both the front runners found themselves towards the back a few times and the race was handedto a guy who has yet to taste victory at the Madhouse. It would up to him to not make a mistake if he wanted towin this one.And he did just that. Congratulations to Dave Hamstra in winning his 1st ever Ingalls A Main in his #23 car. Sprint Car. The 2014 Champ Jeremy Brawner takes QT and goes on to take a heat win and the 50 lap A Main. In the first round of heats Brawner would have issues and Ron Strubbe would steal the win from Jeff Grahn. Strubbe in his #12 is the only driver to compete in all the 2014 points races. Ron caps off his season by over taking J.R Parsley for the runner up spot in points. Way 2 Go 12. Outlaw SLM Dave Brawner after winning a rain shortened race at Kil Kare puts a exclamation point on the year by upsetting the 2014 Champ Jerry Brawner. Sportsman ( Race of the Day). QT was won by the #52 of Jeremy Reilley but the 5 bonus points would go to another Jeremy as Brawner was the fastest points eligible driver in the #17. 4 heats races 4 winners. Brawner, Jeff Grahn, Ean Reilley grab heat wins. The man of the day Was the 2013 Novice Champ and our 2014 Sportsman champ Mike Little. After only qualifying 5th Little would role off from pole in the Main. After a fierce battle between 6 cars it was Little in his #28 capping off a great year. Steve Riddle comes home 2 nd in the race and in the 2014 points standings. Ean rounds out the podium and Ron Stubbe takes 4 th on the day and 3rd in points . IQSR is proud of the season we had, New friends made, great completion and are grateful for such a great place to race.. Last race of the year is Saturday October 11th with Community Day. We invite the Ingalls Community to come out and enjoy a day of great racing, free food and our appreciation for allowing us to be apart of this community. We will be running a 500 lap Sportman race, 150 lap Sprint Car Race and a 125 lap Limited race....6

The 2014 season is coming to a end at The one and only Mini Madhouse. It has been a very sucessfulseason for IQSR and we would like to thank all our members as well as the guys who came from other clubs to run with us. We start this week's recap with QSAC Sprint Cars. The 2014 champ Jeremy Brawner once again brought his #7 to the track ready to dominate. And he did just that by scoring another perfect day by setting fast time then going on to win both rounds of heats and leading flag to flag in the Main . With the absence of J.R Parsley Ron Strubbe is now just 3 points behind the 55 for the runner up spot. Strubbe controls his own fate going into the final show. Outlaw Super Late Model. This one was all Jerry Brawner in the #77 as pappy sweeps the day over his boys. Jerry leads the points with one race to go over Jason Cook who had to sit this one out and Herzog who was not in attendence. Jeremy Brawner moves into the 3rd spot. Looking forward to one last battle to crown a champ. Novice. Brad Boling puts a exclamation point on his stellar season by once again scoring a perfect day by taking fast time inqualifying , sweeping his heats and dominating the 100 lap feature. The #78 has set the bar all season. Gregg Grahn grab a heat win in round #1 then decided to hand the controller of his #11 over to a young lady by the name of Gabby Alshouse who was very strong in her first Madhouse start. Coming home 2nd in the feature was newcomer Scott Rance whoalso got his first Ingalls Heat win. Bill Rabideau makes the trip south to round out the Novice Podium. Bob Barker has locked up 3rd in the points . Sportsman. After finishing 3rd and 4th in heat action the #26 of Jeff Grahn came on in the feature to gain himself another Madhouse victory. Ohio's Rick Liehr comes home 2 nd in the Feature after getting a heat win in Round #2 but it was Round #1 of heat action that had us all on our feet. Liehr led all but the last foot as Steve Riddle beats the #29 to the line by .047. As they slammed the wall after the line.Riddle would get the 5 bonus points as he was the quickest club member in time trials. The #43 is soliding in the 2 nd points position as he has a 14 point lead over Ron Strubbe. Mike Reniger rounds out the podium. Newcomer Ean Reielly takes quick time and a heat win in his first ever Madhouse Start. Ean was leading the feature when contact between him and a car that was using to hang on to the lead lap caused the kid to spin collecting Jeremy Reilley and Ean was unable to continue. The day belongs to last years Novice Champ. Mike Little grabs a heat win in round #2 over Ean and comes home 4th in the Feature. Mike locks up the 2014 sportman championship. Congrats 28. Just 1 more points show to go. Cya on the 27th.

Race #7. Race #7 of the 2014 " Mini Madhouse " season was held atthe legendary Kil Kare Speedway in Xena Ohio. The day was shaping up to be one heck of a show until just before the startof the features the skies opened up and the day was over with the days results being based on results of the heat races. Novice. Gregg Grahn dominated in Time trials and in the 70 laps of heat action. Mason Boling was strong all day but the man of the day was Brad Boling as yet again the 78 scores a perfect 218 in points and clinches the 2014 title. Ken Zer0 Lieker locks down 2nd in the season standings. Sprint Car. Once again the man to beat was Jeremy Bonsai Brawner as the 7 takes the 5 points in qualifying and goes on to win both heats.Brawner also wraps up the 2014 title. Sportsman. Frank Boling wins the day over Mike Little. Little continues to lead the points and as long as the 28 makes one of the final two races he should become the 2014 champion. 2nd in points is Steve Riddle just 3 ahead of Ron Strubbe going into the final two rounds of the year. Outlaws. Dave the snake Brawner wins his first ever Outlaw start. Jerry Brawner continues to lead the points over Jason Cook and Bill Herzog. This series is going to come down to the very last lap. Race #2 2014

May 3rd 2014 the Ingalls Motor Speedway Hosted 31 entries over six classes. QSAC live was up and running and the Mini Madhouse gang put on a super competitive warm up to the NCS.
Novice as in week one was the Brad Boling show. The 78 came up just short of the perfect day as Mickey Flora in his #1 car grabs a heat win. Dave Hamstra takes a heat win in his Ingalls return . The #23 comes home 3rd in the feature. Ken Lieker has a good points day with a 2nd place finish and has his #0 2nd in the points standings. Boling goes two 4 two in 2014.
ECM action was all about the #2 of Todd Holloway. The deuce grab the pole and never looked back as he scores the perfect day. Holloway was the only ECM to break the 6.000 Mark. Frank Boling came home 2nd in the main . The #15 sits 2nd in the points standings. The #33 of John Foster leads by just 3 points after two races with his podium finish .
Outlaw Sprints made there debut at the Madhouse. Jerry. Brawner in his 88 battled Bill Herzog in the 75 from lap 1 of heats to the final lap of the feature. Both getting a heat win . In the end it was ol Pappy getting the win over Herzog. The 75 did run the quickest lap of the day in the outlaw feature with a lap of 5.985 just .003 then the 88s fastest lap in the Main.
QSAC Sprint Car. Jeremy Brawner picks up right where he left off in week #1 by scoring another perfect points day. The #7 ran the fastest lap of the day in this class with a time of 5.919 in time trails. J.R Parleys #55 comes home 2nd and the #2 of Todd Holloway rounds out the podium.
Sportsman. I think it's a toss up on show of the day between these boys and the SLMs. Jeff Grahn in the 26 takes the Sportsman pole and takes a heat win. Jeff was forced to leave the event early so we missed out on what could have been a great battle between 5 cars. The A Main was the Mike and Mike show as Mike Little in his #28 and the 21 of Mike Reniger battled for all 100 laps with Reniger backing up a heat win with a Madhouse A Main Victory. Little puts down the fastest lap of the day in time trails with a 6.046. Dave Raber rounds out the top 3.

Outlaw SLM. This one was nuts. Bill Herzog in the 75 sweeps the heats and comes home 2nd in the feature behind Mike Reniger was jumps in the #08 with no practice laps Reniger battles 5 other drivers for all 100 laps to steal the win.Jason Cook finishes 2nd in both heats and comes home 3 rd in the Main. Jerry Brawner runs the fastest lap of the day for all classes with a lap is 5.894
Like to thank everyone who came out to play and looking forward to doing it again.
Up next NCS #2 on May 16th and 17th.
